De Forensische Zorg Specialisten (DFZS) is a specialist in forensic mental healthcare, providing psychiatric care to help make the world a safer and healthier place. The organisation works in partnership with the Dutch judicial system to treat patients with psychiatric issues and help prevent them from re-offending. DFZS provides these services from three inpatient hospitals and 12 outpatient polyclinics in the Netherlands. Clinicians must be able to access current patient data to make the right healthcare decisions. Notes on patient progress or medication, for example, are essential to the health and safety of patients, staff productivity and the day-to-day running of DFZS’s clinics.
